With more than 23 years of clinical experience, Nicole has dedicated the majority of her career to pediatric occupational therapy. A graduate of Florida International University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences, she has worked with both children and adults across a variety of clinical settings, with extensive experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory processing challenges, developmental and motor coordination difficulties, attention and behavioral concerns, and other challenges that can affect participation in everyday life.

Nicole’s approach goes beyond simply addressing an activity or isolated skill. She looks at the whole child and the underlying systems that influence performance, including sensory processing, postural control, motor planning, coordination, regulation, breathing, and movement efficiency. Her goal is to understand not only what a child is struggling with, but why, allowing intervention to be purposeful, individualized, and connected to meaningful function.

Nicole places a strong emphasis on continuing education and evidence-informed practice. She holds advanced certification in Sensory Integration and Praxis Testing and has completed specialized training in Handwriting Without Tears, sensory integration theory and intervention, the Beckman Oral Motor approach, the M.O.R.E. program, Therapeutic Listening and other auditory-based interventions, and NeuroNet.

Throughout her career, Nicole has continued to combine clinical reasoning, hands-on observation, and a whole-child perspective to help children build the foundational skills needed to participate more confidently and successfully at home, at school, in sports, and throughout their daily lives.
